“A Primer on Minor Settlements and Conservatorships”
and “DriveCams, Biomechanical Analysis and the Use
of Biomechanical Engineers in Litigation”
- Dan Church, Julie Jorgensen, Emily Motto, Brian Weaver
The first presentation will discuss the nuts and
bolts of minor settlements, conservatorships, and
other protective arrangements. We will discuss the
requirements, background checks and documentation associated with releasing the claims of minors. The
second presentation will start at the point of an accident,
and a biomechanical engineer will provide insight into the
initial biomechanical analysis using DriveCam footage
and other methodologies. The attorneys will then discuss
the analysis of DriveCam from a legal perspective,
discoverability of DriveCam evidence, use of footage and
admissibility of biomechanical testimony.
